Introducing... Bernie ♥

I am very excited to announce that my gold fish Bernie has now been alive for 9 days in my care! His companion Mac, died shortly after his entry into the bowl.. So Bernie is the sole survivor of my trainwreck mothering skills.

My friends* have bets on how long Bernie will last... I have faith in him. He's a survivor! We've come this far together. ♥

In other news, I've very proud/nervous/excited to share that I have a new boyfriend. Completely unexpected & definitely unplanned however I have met someone who I am just having lots of fun with. He has now officially become "my other half". Eeeekkkk! ♥

Where else would you rather be?

I am a very lucky duck to be able to live on the beautiful Gold Coast. It really is beautiful one day and stunning the next! On Saturday we had amazing sunny weather and I got to share it with some of my gorgeous girlfriends. We spent the day buzzing around in "Puggy" - the silver Peurgot convertible and lazing in the sunshine at the beach. Whilst I was a tad sun burnt, I still couldn't get over how good it felt to just relax in the sun. Life is good.

I'll tell you what's not Amazing!

1. Rates bills
2. Dead gold fish (RIP Harry & Ron - they didn't even stick around long enough for a blog post)
3. Tafe assessments!!!

But for every sucky thing, there are a million other things that aren't sucky! Like...

1. Mum's who come and paint you unit for you while you do your assessments (and blog and facebook)
2. Those amazing friends who could never be replaced and you can just "be" with.
3. Sushi, sushi, sushi! And the green tea to go with!
4. Organising fun play dates with girlfriends... And the wine to go with!
5. That special someone ♥
6. Great music to listen to...

I'm feeling very blessed this evening. I am one lucky, lucky gal... ♥

The Key to being Happy

And it's just so simple. It really is... ♥



What makes you happy? There are so many things that make me happy, I firmly believe in "seek and you shall find" - I'm always seeking... ♥

I shed a little tear...

...when I read the following.

It reminds me to be grateful for what you have and always be gracious to others, you never know what someone else is experiencing.

"Someone in this world is attending a funeral right now and weeping at the coffin. The lady in that to-die-for baby pink chiffon scarf who passed you in the street might have just been turned away from her last job interview for the third consecutive day. The well-dressed, smart-looking man dressed in a suit carrying his briefcase to work could be battling cancer. That rich-looking lady in the limousine that you’re really envious of, who just drove past, might be really upset because she just heard the news that her husband’s passed away in a car crash. Or maybe that grungy teen on the corner of the street is just this close to having a break down because she thinks she might be pregnant and her boyfriend is nowhere to be found. And how about that middle-aged lady who looked so kind, maybe she’s actually got no money on her to buy her dog some food and pay the hospital bills for her sick daughter? So smile at a stranger, tell a girl she’s beautiful, don’t be mean because you never know if you might just provide them with their final reason to promptly expire later that night at home.”

Knight & Day

Tonight I took a trip to the pictures to see Knight & Day (Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise). Cameron Diaz is just so amazingly beautiful. She is so sweet and plays those ditzy/kick ass chicks so well. Movie was... Mehhh? I could of waited for the DVD. The company was a whole lot better though... ♥
